ABOUT
ME!
I grew up in a small northern Michigan town called Houghton Lake. I learned the importance of staying true to three things: my family, my faith, and myself. I attended Hope College in Holland, Michigan. While attending Hope College, I played softball and was also part of the basketball program. My journey has presented many challenges and opportunities. These unique experiences have shaped me into a stronger, more sincere individual. I truly pride myself on the relationships that I build, and I view interactions with people as a learning opportunity. I believe everyone has a purpose in life, and I strive to help others discover their purpose. This is why I am so passionate about teaching and coaching.

Teaching Experience
I have taken the stereotype of Physical Education and thrown it out the window. This is no longer your parents' gym class. I am teaching what physical education and health education is really about with real world experiences through science, math ,ELA, health and wellness. Preparing my students for life is more than just a credit, it's about making sure they can handle what life throws at them, mentally and physically.
I currently hold a Michigan Department of Education Professional Teaching Certificate for Physical Education and Health Education. My latest teaching experience has been with Pennfield High School- Battle Creek, MI. Within the PE Curriculum I have developed three classes, Women's Fitness, Foundations of Weight Training and Strength & Conditioning. All other classes within the curriculum I helped revamp such as Lifetime Sports & Fitness and Foundations of PE.
